Back from a summer vacation on Spain’s east coast.
My wife and I have just returned from a relaxing couple of weeks house-sitting for a friend near Mojacar. In August and July the heat in Madrid is unbearable, consistently hitting temperatures of 38°C. Madrileños usually take part of August away from the city, and this year we joined them. Mojacar is situated in a region of dry mountains on Spain’s east coast. The sea breeze makes the temperatures more comfortable, and we were able to really explore the dramatic landscapes!
We had a good mix of beach time and cycling missions, and I also managed to spend a good few hours of each day working on content for my new website. So not totally a holiday, but the change of scenery was refreshing.
We’re back in Madrid now with our batteries fully recharged and ready for a busy Autumn. I’ve got shoots coming up in the UK and Cyprus, with hopefully more travel heading into winter.
