San Fermin
Each year in early July, the Basque town of Pamplona explodes in a week long celebration to mark San Fermin, a festival in honour of Saint Fermin, the patron saint of the Navarre region. During the opening party, the streets are a riot of sangria, music and dancing – with the energy being focused each morning on the infamous and sometimes fatal running of the bulls.
